Blessing of the Roads Ceremony 2025
Thursday 10th April 2025
Blessing of the Roads 2025 – A Community Commitment to Road Safety
Since 1999, the Blessing of the Roads campaign, coordinated by RoadWise, has been an important road safety initiative in the lead-up to the Easter long weekend—a time when many people travel long distances to visit loved ones or enjoy a holiday getaway.
This campaign follows the globally recognised Safe System Approach, which aims for a future where deaths and serious injuries on our roads are eliminated. By coming together as a community, we can support this vision and take meaningful steps towards achieving zero road fatalities and serious injuries.
We encourage everyone to be part of this special occasion—whether you are a driver, cyclist, pedestrian, or a member of the community, your presence helps to raise awareness and reinforce the importance of road safety.
Let’s come together to make our roads safer these Easter school holidays and take a moment to appreciate the dedicated local emergency volunteers and staff who work tirelessly to keep us safe and respond to emergencies.
Join us and help spread the message—every journey should be a safe one. 🚘💛
