Seeking people to work in regional & rural Government Areas. 

The Australian Electoral Commission has now started our preparations for the upcoming federal election and are seeking staff from all over WA to work at federal elections, particularly in our regional and rural local government areas. 

The AEC has recently launched a new portal called AEC EmployMe for individuals to register their interest to work. The registration process is secure and simple, and provides improved functionality compared to our previous system.

There are some key details to keep in mind when considering working for a federal election:

• The AEC has a duty to present the public with a politically neutral workforce
• All staff must be Australian citizens
• There are many roles to suit different skill levels. More information about the roles available can be found at Types of jobs - Australian Electoral Commission (aec.gov.au).
• Pay rates vary depending on the role. Please refer to the Frequently asked questions - Australian Electoral Commission (aec.gov.au)
