Shire of Pingelly Save the Numbats Local Law 2025
At the Special Council Meeting held on the 21 October 2024, the Shire of Pingelly proposed to make the following law:
Shire of Pingelly Save the Numbats Local Law 2024:
- Purpose – to encourage responsible cat ownership and to provide for the effective management of cats within the Shire of Pingelly
- Effect - Ensure that persons who own or keep a cat within the Shire of Pingelly are to comply with the provisions of this local law.
The Shire of Pingelly advises the community that, based on legal advice following further information from the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, we are now re-advertising the revised version of the Save the Numbats Local Law. As a result, we are beginning the process of making the local law again from the start.
A copy of the proposed local laws may be inspected at or obtained from the Shire Administration office 17 Queen Street Pingelly during normal office hours, from the Shire of Pingelly’s website www.pingelly.wa.gov.au, or by contacting the Administration Office on 08 9887 1066.
Submission about the proposed local law must be made by 4.00pm 9 April 2025, in writing to the CEO at the address below, or by email to admin@pingelly.wa.gov.au.
